Radio Master, colloquially known as the German signalman's fire starter with an integrated flint. Manufactured by IMCO Austria starting in 1949, this model was originally custom-made for German military radio operators (Funker). It is a mechanical flint-and-steel fire starter designed to ignite alcohol stoves on radios, field gas cookers, and signal bonfires.
After the war, it entered full-scale production in two versions: a military-grade bare nickel finish and a civilian version with baked enamel in lake blue or cream/white color blocks. A private-label version branded Coghlan's was exported to the North American market.
